Working Within COVID-19 at the Studio |
Studio Capacity Limitations
- The studio occupation is currently limited to ten persons (1 teacher and 9 students).
- The interim class booking app should avoid students attending an already full classes.
Attendance Registering for Contract Tracing
- As part of a COVID-19 event a student attendance register will be maintained for each class. This will be achieved via the online class booking app.
- Students must complete this with their name and contact details mobile phone number, residential address and email.
Studio Entry and Exit
Studio Access (Foot Traffic Plan)
- A keep right foot traffic plan is in place to reduce the need for people to cross paths.
Arriving
- Follow the green arrows marked on the floor and stairs to enter the building.
- Take turns to ascending the first set of stairs to the first landing.
- Wait, standing on green crosses, along the south, west and north sides of the foyer mezzanine.
Departing
- Follow the red arrows marked on the floor and stairs to exit the building.
- Do not chat in the hallways - wait until you're outside the building in the carpark.
- Take turns to descending the first set of stairs at the first landing.
Hallway Access
- Student must demonstrate courtesy along the hallways to the studio, gym and toilets, taking turns down each of these hallways. Abiding the keep right rule.
Hygiene
- Students must wash their hands with hot soapy water in the onsite toilets prior to entering the studio.
- Repeat this process before leaving for home.
- Use your elbows/feet to open doors.
Physical Distancing
- Individual student spaces are marked on the studio floor 4sqm (2m X 2M).
- Students will only be allowed to occupy one student space.
- Students and their props/belongings must stay along within that space at all times unless they are traversing along the access ways between student spaces.
- Whilst studio occupation is limited to ten persons (1 teacher and 9 students) the student spaces the first 3 student spaces in the middle of the studio will remain vacant.
Access Way Between Student Spaces
- An access way will be maintained to allow access to each student space without having to cross other student spaces.
- The central access ways must be kept clear at all times.
- Chairs may be lent against walls.
Props Use
- Students will bring their own personal prop kit to the studio consisting of a suitable yoga mat, 1 yoga block (a second block is allowed) 1 yoga belt and 2 yoga blankets.

- Students are responsible to clean their own props at home as they feel is needed.
Studio Props
- Studio provided yoga chairs may be used within a class and will be cleaned buy the studio after each class.
- Trestle horses and the backbender (Whale) and other studio yoga props (blankets, belts, blocks, bolsters, cushions and sand bags) are not to be used.
Personal Belongings
- The studio cubby holes are not to be used.
- Personal property must remain in the student's car with the exception of studio car keys, a wallet (not a bag of any size) and a mobile phone (turned off and face down).
- All personal property must be kept within the student space.
- Shoes are to left outside the studio in the hallway neatly along the wall of the studio.
- The responsibility for student's valuables remains the student's responsibility. Lost/misplaced/stolen property is not the responsibility of the studio or the teacher.
- Don't bring family heirlooms to the studio - keep them secured and insured at home.
Payment
- The studio will still accept cash.
- Electronic payments methods:

- Mobile App (details still to be finalised)
- EFTPOS is NOT a planned payment process at present
